Cox Cares Provides A Day of Fun for Local Boys & Girls Clubs
Through a national partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs, Cox shows its commitment to the kids and families in our community.
Each October, Cox Cares hosts a carnival for the local Boys & Girls Clubs in our service area. More than 500 kids and their families from five local clubs in Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Irvine, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano enjoy a day filled with classic carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, and carnival treats including cotton candy and popcorn.
Cox employees volunteer to work the carnival and also host fundraisers to raise funds for the carnival. They do this by planning numerous fundraising events, which include jog-a-thons, bake sales, garage sales and more, during the months leading up to the carnival. At the end of the carnival, Cox Cares presents each of the clubs with a donation check.
The Boys & Girls Clubs provide leadership, scholastic and athletic activities to their members. To help bridge the digital divide, Cox also provides many local Boys & Girls Clubs with free or discounted high-speed Internet and cable service and other in-kind contributions.
