Cox Cares 100,000 Meal Challenge

Every night in Orange County, more than 21,000 people go to sleep without a roof over their head or a hot meal. Among those affected are the working poor, children, the disabled and the elderly. The sustained economic downturn continues to take a toll on thousands of Orange County residents.

Cox Cares is proud to partner with the Orange County Rescue Mission in an effort to raise enough monetary and food donations to provide 100,000 meals to those in need in our community.

You can make a difference! Join us and our co-sponsors - the Orange County Restaurant Association and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular - in meeting this challenge by November 30, 2010.

For as little as $1.48, you can provide a single meal. A donation of $35, can provide 24 meals to help sustain a family. In addition, approximately one pound of donated food can feed two individuals.

How can you help?

1. Text "COXCARES" to 20222. Each text will be a $10 donation, which equates to 7 meals.
2. Donate online by clicking here.
